Charlotte Mitchell was born on 11 March 1826 in the parish of North Leith.

Circumstances inferring that the Child is a proper object of the Charity, and falls under the description of a Destitute Child,

Alex.^r Mitchell, the Father of the Child, died about two years ago. M.^rs Mitchell, previous to her marriage was in the service of several respectable families in Edinburgh. Since her husband’s death, she has been in delicate health: From these circumstances, it will be easily inferred, that the Child falls under the description of a destitute Child; and the parents, altho’ poor, being respectable, she is a proper object of the Charity.

Charlotte’s father had been a sergeant and Royal Artillery Pensioner.

Charlotte married John Norally, a servant residing at 91 Cowgate, on 20 June 1847. Her address was the same.
