John Watson’s Institution Home

The Levite was the magazine of the John Watson Club, the society formed to keep former pupils of John Watson’s Institution (later John Watson’s School) in touch with their alma mater.

With the first issue appearing in 1903, the magazine is rich in images, recollections, memoirs and school news. The WS Society archive holds issues between 1903 and 1918, and further issues intermittently from 1936 up until the Club Jubilee number of 1949. The first two volumes begin with indexes to the content, but each issue is word-searchable where required.
